Last week, after the win over the New York Giants, we wanted to believe things had changed, but at the same time, it was only one week, one game. We needed at least one more game to see if the hype was real, and while we didn't get the exact answer we were looking for, we are starting to see things just may have changed.
We do know one thing: The vibes and culture have already changed. We know that because, well, the payers are telling us that.
"We want to be a hard-nosed, blue-collar team," linebacker Robert Spillane said after the win on the NBC broadcast. "We don't take sh*t from anyone. We are going to live by the Raider way and the Raider mentality going forward."
As the kids say, this team has that dawg in them. They fight, and that's something I feel like we didn't see much, if at all when McDaniels was the coach. They fight for Antonio Pierce. Spillane is a prime example, too. He played this week with a broken hand and yet found a way to get what was basically the game-sealing interception.
This team is special; fans have found their love for the Raiders again. The vibe and culture change are huge reasons why.
