The Las Vegas Raiders started their rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell over their veteran Brian Hoyer for Sunday's divisional game against the Los Angeles Chargers after Jimmy Garoppolo was ruled out with a concussion on Saturday.

The Chargers did their best to stop Josh Jacobs in the first quarter, and they did at first by stacking the box just like every other team has against the 2022 rushing leader. However, Jacobs started getting going, and his eight-yard rush set up something beautiful.

The rookie quarterback found himself at the goal line, under center, with teammates beside and behind him. He knew there was a very large chance this is where he would get his first-ever touchdown of his young career, and he did just that.

The quarterback sneak on the goal line, a play that doesn't fail often, is what got Aidan O'Connell into the end zone.

It changed the offense, though, when you think about it. Not only was O'Connell tasked with coming in and running the offense as a complicated rookie, but he also had the first rushing touchdown on the season for the Raiders.

It was one he will remember and likely one of many to come for O'Connell.
