The 2023 NFL season has had a lot of crazy things happen over the span of this year. One of the craziest things is the Las Vegas Raiders firing Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler when Mark Davis gave him three years, verbally, at least.
The other crazy thing that has happened is the Josh Dobbs situation. He was traded twice this year and then went to the Vikings after only being there a few days. He lights the league on fire. Dobbs had two amazing weeks on the field.
But things didn't stay as hot as they were. According to Ian Rapoport, Dobbs struggled before their bye week against the Chicago Bears, and there were conversations by the team on a potential change at quarterback.
However, Rapoport also reported that the Vikings would let Dobbs start as he will finally get to play with Justin Jefferson. The Raiders have tape on Dobbs from the last few weeks; the Vikings' other option, a rookie quarterback who played a drive before Dobbs' first drive, has little to no tape.
The Vikings doing this allows the Raiders to prepare much better for Sunday.
Josh Dobbs reportedly will remain Vikings starting QB against the Raiders
The former Tennessee Vols standout will get another chance on Sunday
