With five games left, the Las Vegas Raiders don't have much time to fix all of the things that are wrong with this team. That also means that interim head coach Antonio Pierce doesn't have much more time to show that he deserves the job in 2024. How does he show he does – winning is the best way possible.
So, the Raiders are making an effort to improve their roster for the final five games and maybe even past 2023 if all goes well. They recently did that with Jack Jones – a small risk that could have a big gain.
On Friday, Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report reported that the Raiders were working out veteran offensive lineman D.J. Fluker, who was once a first-round pick. He has since bounced around in the league, and the Raiders are hoping they can tap into that potential that made him a first-round pick.
Most recently, Fluker was with the Miami Dolphins. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 2013 11th overall. Fluker has been with the Baltimore Ravens, Seattle Seahawks, and New York Giants as well.
The Raiders will hope the 32-year-old can bring some juice.
