For the Las Vegas Raiders and every other team across the league, it's almost time to make some of the most difficult decisions they will make all season long. The period where teams cut down from 90 to 53 men is August 29, shortly after the last preseason game.

In other words, soon, some really good players aren't going to make the team. This means those guys will get picked up by other teams who still need a certain position after the roster is cut down. The Raiders have one guy in particular who could get cut but will likely get picked up quickly.

Raiders' WR Keelan Cole could get cut

If Cole gets cut, as everything is trending towards, he will; it won't even really be his fault. He was on the roster last season, played 14 games, and started three. So, talent and skill are here. However, this receiver group is much different than last season's.

Last year's was fine. This year's is great, as in there is so much depth. This may be the deepest wide receiver room in the league when you account for the entire 90-man roster as it currently stands. But, The Raiders will likely only keep around six of those guys, which is why this is a hard decision.

Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, Jakobi Meyers, and Tre Tucker are all roster locks for reasons we all know. One of them is the best receiver in the league, two others are being paid a ton of money, and the last one was a third-round draft pick this year.

Then it comes down to Keelan Cole, Deandre Carter, Phillip Dorsett, Cam Sims, Kristian Wilkerson, Chris Lacy, and Isaiah Zuber. Carter gets the nod because of his ability to be a returner. In fact, he has had a few good ones already in the preseason.

For Dorsett, he has previous history with head coach Josh McDaniels and knows the offensive system.

Last year on the Raiders' initial 53-man roster, the Raiders only kept five receivers, which is even more reason he likely won't make the cut. However, they will likely keep six because of how deep the position group is.

Cole isn't a bad player. He is a veteran who can do whatever you need him to do. He can play special teams or go out there and catch touchdowns, as he did once last season. Cole will find another team rather quickly after the final cuts.
