There has been plenty of dialogue centered around what the remainder of Tua Tagovailoa’s 2022 campaign should look like. Before Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots, Fox’s Jay Glazer disclosed a disturbing detail regarding the team’s decision to send Tagovailoa to get checked out by a team of doctors.
According to Glazer, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel became concerned when going over the tape from last week’s loss to the Green Bay Packers. Tagovailoa threw three fourth quarter interceptions, which all came after a big hit that many believe led to his second concussion of the season.
McDaniel asked Tagovailoa what he was thinking on a few of those decisions. However, Tagovailoa had no recollection of his thoughts at the time. At that point, it became clear that Tagovailoa was suffering from post-concussion symptoms.
Glazer went on, hinting that Tagovailoa won’t play in Miami’s regular season finale against the New York Jets. He did mention that Tagovailoa would like to play if the Dolphins were to make the playoffs, but that decision will likely be made by a team of medical professionals if Miami is sneak its way into the postseason.
