2022 was an absolute nightmare for the Miami Dolphins from an injury perspective.  It seems like the team still might not be waking up from that harsh reality.

The Dolphins were bitten squarely by the injury bug early in camp when Jalen Ramsey tore his meniscus.  That bug came to roost again on Wednesday at the Baptist Health Training Complex.

Jeff Wilson, Justin Bethel, Alec Ingold, and Justin Bethel all went down at the second joint practice with the Atlanta Falcons.

Waddle is obviously the biggest name of the group.  It's a good sign that he was able to walk off, but the team has not yet given an update on his status.

Wilson is listed as one of the two starting running backs on the Dolphins depth chart with Raheem Mostert.  Fortunately for Wilson, a hand ailment is far less debilitating for a running back than other areas.

Ingold and Bethel's issues have not been specified.  Ingold is the team's starting fullback – the only one listed on the depth chart.  Ingold was having an impressive camp so far.  Bethel sits among the log jam of cornerbacks on the Dolphins' first depth chart.

Injuries are a part of the game.  However, they've been happening at an alarming rate in South Florida since 2022.  It's a virtually impossible thing to predict or control, but Miami Dolphins fans have to start feeling like something – or someone – is out for their team.

Hopefully these four men are fine and the injury report doesn't grow this preseason with serious injuries.  The Dolphins deserve that break after last year.

This report will be updated as more information becomes available.
