The Miami Dolphins might have just become even more dangerous.
After he was ruled as a healthy inactive prior to the Chicago Bears Week 4 matchup against the Denver Broncos, there was speculation that his time with the team might be done.
And that's clear after the Bears traded Chase Claypool to the Dolphins and a 2025 7th round pick in exchange for 2025 6th round pick, multiple sources report.
Claypool joined the Bears in Nov. 2022 in exchange for a second round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. However, it was no smooth sailing after he was criticized for his performance and then voiced his frustration with Chicago's coaching staff.
While it's unclear exactly what role Claypool will have with the Dolphins, it's got to be a move that Tua Tagovailoa loves. It's a low-risk trade, but could end up making the Dolphins all the more dangerous.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bears and Packers offered a second-round pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers for Claypool last year, but they opted to go with Chicago's offer.
And unfortunately it did not work out for the Bears.
During his time with the Bears, which lasted 10 games, he had 18 catches for 191 yards and one touchdown. He never was able to win with Chicago either.
Claypool began his career with the Steelers in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He remained with the team for two and a half season before joining the Bears.
In his four seasons, he has appeared in 49 games for 171 receptions and 307 yards for 13 touchdowns.
Let's see if Claypool is a better match for the Dolphins.
