Justin Jefferson etched his name into Minnesota Vikings history on Saturday, passing Randy Moss for the most receiving yards in a single season.

Needing just 10 yards coming into Saturday’s game against the New York Giants, Jefferson surpassed Moss’s 1,632 receiving yards, a record he set in 2003.

It was only a matter of time for Jefferson, who was 16 yards shy of tying Moss' record last season. However, Jefferson now has a much larger goal in his sights.

Now up to 1,683 receiving yards and counting as of halftime on Saturday, Jefferson continues in his chase for the NFL’s all-time single season receiving record. Former Detroit Lions great Calvin Johnson is the current record holder, who accumulated 1,964 receiving yards in 2012.

Jefferson’s greatness is undeniable, and in just his third season in the NFL he is already rewriting the league’s record books.
