The Minnesota Vikings were busy on Wednesday. This morning, the team officially placed star receiver Justin Jefferson on injured reserve

Backup QB Nick Mullens was also placed on IR after missing Week 5. In response to the two roster spots opening, the team promoted receivers Trishton Jackson and N'Keal Harry from the practice squad.

The team was not done making moves just yet, however.

To fill the vacated practice squad spots, the team brought back a couple of recognizable names. QB Sean Mannion and WR Dan Chisena were added to the practice squad, as was TE Troy Fumagalli.

Mannion served as Cousins' backup for two seasons in Minnesota. The QB was cut prior to the 2022 season and spent time in Seattle. Chisena made the team as a UDFA back in 2020 and spent three years on the team, mainly contributing on special teams.

Fumagalli has bounced around on numerous practice squads, last appearing in a game in 2020.

Finally, the team designated RB Kene Nwangwu to return from IR. Nwangwu is now eligible to practice and the team has 21 days to decide if he can play or revert him back to IR. Nwangwu has been the primary kick returner for the Vikings and has three kickoff return TDs in his career.
