2023 NFL Draft: One big concern that everyone is missing about Alabama EDGE Will Anderson

Alabama Crimson Tide EDGE rusher Will Anderson is viewed by most draft analysts as a top-five pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Anderson, a former five-star recruit, finished his Alabama career with 34.5 sacks in three seasons.
That's certainly impressive production from the Georgia native.
Despite the great numbers and elite physical skills, there's a concern that teams at the top of the draft should have with Anderson.
I'm not sure the former Alabama standout has the killer instinct necessary to thrive in the NFL as a pass rusher.
Alabama's biggest regular season game in 2022 was against the Tennessee Vols.
The Crimson Tide lost that matchup 52-49. Part of the reason they lost was because Anderson was completely shut down by Tennessee offensive tackle Darnell Wright. Anderson totaled 0 sacks against the Vols.
If Anderson comes up with just one sack in a number of key situations, there's a good chance Bama wins that game. And if they win that matchup, they play Georgia in the SEC Championship game (and who knows what happens from there).
Wright did a great job against Anderson, but you'd expect someone of Anderson's talent to win at least a couple of reps. After all, Anderson will be going up against offensive linemen of Wright's caliber (and perhaps even more talented) in the NFL.
So why didn't Anderson rise to the occasion?
Well, Anderson admitted that he and his teammates were anxious about playing Tennessee on the road and they didn't play with the right level of intensity.
Anderson has obviously shown up in a lot of games for Alabama. He's had some monster performances. But if he's getting shut down in the biggest games in college (he also had zero sacks against Georgia in the national championship game in 2021/22 and he had zero sacks in Bama's road loss to Texas A&M in 2021), what's going to happen in the NFL?
If the moment is too big for Anderson now, it's not going to get any easier as a professional.
Now, that's not to say that Anderson will be a bust in the NFL — that would be absolutely foolish to suggest. I think Anderson can be a Pro Bowl-caliber talent in the NFL.
But is he the guy that's going to make Von Miller-like play that wins a team a Super Bowl? You know, like you'd expect from a top-five pick?
Based on Anderson's comments after Alabama's loss to Tennessee, I wouldn't bet on it.
