The calendar hasn't even flipped to September yet, but 2024 Tennessee Vols commit Boo Carter has still had enough time to show why he's one of the nation's top recruits.

This past weekend, Carter caught a pass on the first play from scrimmage and took it 46 yards to the end zone.

Carter showed off his elite speed on the play, quickly turning the corner and leaving his defender behind him.

The Tennessee commit has been making those types of plays a habit over the last couple of weeks.

Carter, 5-foot-10/184 lbs from Chattanooga, TN, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 18 athlete in the nation and the No. 4 player in the state of Tennessee.

The Vols' 2024 recruiting class, which currently has 20 commits, is ranked No. 6 in the nation.
