NASHVILLE — Who says the Tennessee Titans get no national respect? In ESPN's 2021 NFL positional previews, seven players from Tennessee made the cut.

Now, if we would just get the pundits to actually watch a Titans game…

The love for Tennessee's roster has been real this offseason outside of one noticeable snub. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler surveyed 50+ league executives, coaches, scouts and players to help the network rank the top 10 players across 11 different positions. The tight end position that has yet to be ranked as of Wednesday morning, but it is a safe assumption to say that Titans tight end Anthony Firkser might miss the cut.

Top 10 Titans On Offense

  • Running Back Derrick Henry (No. 1)
  • Wide Receiver Julio Jones (No. 5)
  • Wide Receiver A.J. Brown (No. 10)
  • Tackle Taylor Lewan (No. 7)
  • Guard Rodger Saffold (No. 8)

No player gets less respect for his accomplishments in the last two seasons than Tennessee quarterback Ryan Tannehill. That held true in ESPN's Top 10 quarterbacks list. Since claiming the Titans' starting role, Tannehill boasts a 17-7 win-loss record, a 3.9 touchdown to interception ratio and a 71.1 quarterback rating.

Tannehill's numbers in those three categories before coming to Nashville were 42-46, 1.6 and 48.9, per ESPN's Paul Hembekides.

Top 10 Titans On Defense

  • Interior Defensive Lineman Jeffery Simmons (No. 6)
  • Safety Kevin Byard (No. 7)

The only defender playing for Tennessee in 2020 that deserved consideration in these rankings is Malcolm Butler. Arguably the best player on a bad defense, Butler graded out as PFF's third-best corner in shadow coverage since 2019.
