Alabama Crimson Tide linebacker Henry To'o To'o started his career with the Tennessee Vols, so, naturally, he was immediately asked Monday about what it'll be like to play his former team this weekend.

To'o To'o, who played two seasons at Tennessee, will be returning to Neyland Stadium this weekend for the first time since he transferred to Alabama after the 2020 season.

(The former Vol played against UT last season in Tuscaloosa and had five tackles.)

The California native told reporters that he's "super excited" to face the Vols this weekend.

“Definitely super excited,” said To’o To’o. “You guys already know my journey and where I started. Definitely gonna be a huge challenge. They’re a great team. It’s gonna be a great environment. Super excited about playing in another hostile environment, being able to test who we are as a team. And just another game on the road for us."

“Big rivalry game tradition-wise," added To'o To'o. "This tradition runs deep. So super excited to be able to uphold that tradition and that legacy of Alabama football.”

To'o To'o should probably expect a frosty reception at Neyland. Fans were none too happy when he left Tennessee for Alabama, the Vols' top rival, nearly two years ago.

The tension between the fans and To'o To'o was raised a bit after his father said that going to Tennessee was a mistake for his son.

“One thing that we talked about was that we chose Tennessee the first time when we should have came to Alabama, so let’s not make this mistake twice," said To'o To'o's father in early 2021 (via 247Sports).

The image of To'o To'o on the field at Neyland in an Alabama uniform is going to make this intense rivalry that much more heated on Saturday.
