The Details are in for Arden Keys’ three year, $21 million contract.

The deal comes with a $6.5M signing bonus and $13M total guaranteed. Key can receive $1M for reaching a sack incentive, has a $250k per year workout bonus, and a $4 million option bonus in 2024.

Let's take a look at Keys’ base salary:

2023: $2.88M

2024: $4.22M

2025: $9.3M.

There are two void years in 2026 and 2027, which will allow the Titans to keep his cap hit at a low $2.88M. In 2026 Key will have a dead-cap hit of $4.6 million, and in 2027 will have a dead-cap hit of $2.3M. Keys’ 2024 salary is also guaranteed for injury.

This is the only free agency deal that the Titans have made so far that is more than one year long. That shows that they believe Key will be a real difference maker for this defense, and will be a key part of their reboot.

Key had 4.5 sacks last season, but more importantly played all 17 games the past two seasons. The Titans have struggled to stay healthy in recent years, and having a quality pass rusher that you can rely on every week will be welcomed by Vrabel and the rest of this coaching staff.
