Late last month, North Carolina A&T quarterback Alston Hooker, the younger brother of former Tennessee Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker, entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Alston entered the portal after seeing limited action in 2023. His only pass completions came in the final game of the season, a loss to Campbell, when he connected on 11-of-15 pass attempts for 159 yards and a touchdown (all in the fourth quarter).
Interestingly, Campbell is one of the programs that's showing interest in Hooker. In fact, Hooker is visiting Campbell on Thursday according to On3.
Additionally, Colorado, according to On3's Pete Nakos, is one of the programs that's expressed interest in Hooker, along with Boise State and Memphis.
Hooker, who is 6-foot-1, would probably have a better opportunity for playing time at Campbell, but it would be hard to pass a spot at a program like Colorado or Memphis. It'll be interesting to see if Hendon's younger brother receives further interest before the portal closes.
