One of the top players in the 2024 recruiting class has the Tennessee Vols among his top schools.
2024 four-star wide receiver Bredell Richardson included Tennessee among his top eight schools this week, along with Michigan, LSU, Notre Dame, Alabama, Michigan State, Georgia, and Colorado
Richardson, 6-foot-1/185 lbs from Tampa, FL, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 22 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 20 player in the state of Florida.
The talented wide receiver spoke to Rivals.com about his recruitment and he explained why the Vols are among his top schools.
“I love what coach (Josh) Heupel is doing with the offense," said Richardson. "I would fit great. Coach Heupel has put a lot of dudes in the league. Tennessee’s offense is very receiver friendly. I like coach (Kelsey) Pope and what he does with their receivers. I also like what their receivers say about coach Pope. I have a great relationship with the staff, they have a great fan base, and a great atmosphere.”
Richardson said he's planning on taking visits to Tennessee, LSU, and Michigan State soon, though no plans are set in stone.
It's still very early in this recruiting battle, but the Vols should have a good shot to land the elite recruit from Florida.
