An elite 2024 recruit is reportedly set to visit the Tennessee Vols this summer.

According to 247Sports' Steve Wiltfong, 2024 five-star running back Jerrick Gibson will visit Tennessee on June 16.

The talented running back might also visit UT to check out a practice this spring, too.

Gibson, 5-foot-10/200 lbs from Bradenton, FL (he's originally from Florida, but he attends IMG Academy), is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 1 running back in the nation and the No. 6 player in the state of Florida. He's also rated as the No. 22 overall recruit in the 2024 recruiting class.

Here's the scouting report on Gibson from 247Sports southeast recruiting analyst Andrew Ivins:

Explosive in almost everything he does and is fast enough to win his fair share of foot races out on the perimeter. Not one to go down at the first sign of contact and usually is able to get out of trouble with his quick feet and loose hips. A bit of a slasher that can stack cut after cut once he gets past the initial wave of defenders. Tends to thrive on outside zone and toss plays. Will make defenses pay when counters are called, too. Doesn’t get a ton of targets on Friday nights, but has proved to be a difficult cover on the camp circuit as he uses a nice burst to shake defenders of all different sizes. Has tested exceptionally well over the years and has a 4.5 laser-timed 40-yard dash on record to go along with a near 41-inch vertical jump.

Gibson is also scheduled to visit Alabama and Texas this summer, so the Vols will have plenty of competition for his commitment.

Tennessee, by the way, has four players committed to its 2024 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 15 in the nation.
