Former Tennessee Vols defensive back Eric Berry will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame on December 5 in Las Vegas.
And a former Vol will be emceeing the event.
The National Football Foundation announced recently that former Vol Charles Davis, who is now a broadcaster for CBS Sports, will host the 2023 NFF Annual Awards Dinner Presented by Las Vegas at the ARIA Resort and Casino.
Berry, along with several other notable college football names, including Reggie Bush, Tim Tebow, and Mark Richt, will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the dinner.
“Charles Davis is one of the most gifted sports broadcasters in the industry, having charismatically provided invaluable analysis for some of the biggest games in college football history and now for the NFL on CBS,” said NFF President & CEO Steve Hatchell in a press release. “Charles has an immense passion and knowledge of college football. His broadcasting style combines detailed preparation with an easy-to-understand delivery, making him exceedingly popular among audiences across the country. We are so glad he has agreed to emcee one of college football’s marquee events.”
This will be the second time that Davis has hosted the event. He previously hosted in 2019.
Berry was recognized by Tennessee this past weekend at Neyland Stadium during the Vols' win against Texas A&M.
