Rocky Top, the unofficial fight song of the Tennessee Vols, received some major respect this week from an unlikely source.

Former Georgia Bulldogs All-American offensive lineman Matt Stinchomb, who is now an analyst for the SEC Network, recently ranked his top five college football audience participation songs

And the former Georgia standout put Rocky Top at the top of his list.

(By the way, SEC Network might want to remove Alabama's name from beside Dixieland Delight in the graphic below. The song, which is about Tennessee, was reclaimed by the Vols after beating Alabama last season.)

"Is there a song that's more ingrained/intertwined in a team's identity than Rocky Top?" asked Stinchcomb.

If there is, I haven't heard it yet. I'm sure most opposing fans hate hearing Rocky Top (mostly because it likely means that Josh Heupel's offense scored again if opposing fans are hearing it), but everyone knows the song and they know it's synonymous with Tennessee. And they know it's an important part of what makes college football so great.

I mean, even a Bulldog can't deny it.
