Former Tennessee Vols offensive coordinator Alex Golesh sent a message to UT head coach Josh Heupel and the city of Knoxville on Saturday afternoon.
Golesh, who took over as USF's head coach earlier this month, posted an end year of tweet and he included some words about the Vols, Heupel, and Knoxville.
"I am grateful for the players at Tennesee who bought into the process of growing every day rather than worrying about the end result," wrote Golesh. "Big time thank you to Josh Heupel for believing in me and allowing me to lead his offense for 3 incredible years."
"I am grateful for the city of Knoxville for making my family feel welcome and loved. I am grateful for Alexis, Corbin, and Bear and knowing that every part of our journey has been together."
"I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the South Florida football program into a new era with new challenges and new beginnings. Thank you to Bulls Nation for welcoming us with open arms and to the young men in our program that have already began to buy into bringing a championship to Tampa."
Right after taking the job at USF, Golesh told reporters exactly how much Heupel meant to his career.
There's no doubt that Vols will miss Golesh, but he was more than deserving of a head coaching job. He'll do a great job at USF.
