Indiana Hoosiers head coach Tom Allen says he still doesn't know who his starting quarterback this fall will be.

But after Friday night, it seems likely that former Tennessee Vols quarterback Tayven Jackson has earned the job after his performance in Indiana's 41-7 win against Indiana State.

Jackson, who transferred to Indiana earlier this offseason (Jackson is from Indiana), had a terrific night for the Hoosiers on Friday, completing 18-of-21 passes for 236 yards and a rushing touchdown.

The former four-star recruit is batting Brendan Sorsby for the starting job at Indiana. Sorsby passed for 108 yards and rushed for 28 yards in the win against Indiana State.

After the game, despite Jackson's strong performance, Allen said he and his staff will look at the film this week before deciding on a starter for the Hoosiers' upcoming matchup against Louisville.

The snaps and the results on Friday night, however, would make it seem that naming Jackson is only a formality.

Check out the elusiveness on this touchdown run from Jackson.

And this throw from Jackson was beautiful (even though the play didn't count because of a penalty).

Vols fans always knew Jackson had talent, he just needed an opportunity. And it looks like he'll be getting a big opportunity at Indiana this season.
