Former Tennessee Vols quarterback Nate Peterman made the most of his opportunity with the Chicago Bears on Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts.

Peterman, who is battling for a roster spot in Chicago, was the third quarterback in the game for the Bears (starting quarterback Justin Fields didn't play against the Colts). The former Tennessee quarterback completed 10-of-18 passes for 115 yards and a touchdown.

The touchdown pass was an impressive 35-yard completion to Daurice Fountain in the fourth quarter.

Peterman, a fifth round draft pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2017, spent the first three years of his collegiate career with the Vols before transferring to Pittsburgh for his final two years of eligibility.

The Florida native has played in 13 games since entering the NFL. Peterman has 712 passing yards, five total touchdowns (four passing and one rushing), and 13 interceptions in those 13 games.
