Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, a third round selection by the New York Giants in the 2023 NFL Draft, showed off his speed on Wednesday via long reception at practice.

Hyatt has dazzled at times during training camp, routinely running by Giants defenders.

Speed, however, isn't Hyatt's only weapon.

The South Carolina native is also willing to get dirty and block downfield. Hyatt was specifically praised this week by USA Today's Art Stapleton for his blocking efforts on a Saquon Barkley run at practice.

Stapleton asked Hyatt about his blocking skills and the former Vol made it clear that he wants to show everyone that he's a complete receiver, which obviously includes blocking.

Hyatt has dealt with an inordinate amount of criticism since leaving Tennessee. But he hasn't complained about it. Instead, he's let his work on the field do the talking. And that work is quickly making a lot of draft analysts and anonymous critics look quite silly.
