According to VolQuest, former Vols defensive lineman LaTrell Bumphus has signed an undrafted free-agent deal with the New York Giants.
The Giants selected Hyatt with the No. 73 overall selection (round three) in the 2023 NFL Draft on Friday night.
Bumphus, who was a three-star recruit in the 2017 recruiting class, is one of the few former Vols that played for Butch Jones, Jeremy Pruitt, and Josh Heupel at Tennessee.
The Savannah, TN native was a tight end at one point at UT, but he permanently moved to the defensive line after the 2018 season. Bumphus finished his Vols career with 66 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and three sacks.
Bumphus isn't the only former Tennessee teammate that Hyatt will have in New York.
The Giants also selected former Vols running Eric Gray (round five) in the draft this past weekend. Gray played the first two years of his collegiate career at Tennessee before transferring to Oklahoma. He was teammates with Hyatt in 2020 (and teammates with Bumphus in 2019 and 2020).
The three former Vols are the only former Tennessee players currently on the Giants' roster.
