Former Tennessee Vols edge rusher Byron Young is among the NFL league leaders in a key stat after the first week of the season.

Young, who was a third round selection by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2023 NFL Draft, is among the league leaders in quarterback pressures,

According to Pro Football Reference's advanced stats, Young had five quarterback pressures in the Rams' Week One win against the Seattle Seahawks.

TJ Watt leads the NFL with 9 quarterback pressures. Danielle Hunter, Drake Jackson, and Josh Sweat each have six quarterback pressures (Hunter and Sweat, however, have played two games thanks to their game on Thursday night this week).

Young is tied with Jalen Carter and Josh Allen with five quarterback pressures (Carter has also played two games due to playing on Thursday night this week).

The former Tennessee standout is quickly proving his worth in the NFL. Starting as a rookie is impressive for an edge rusher. It's even more impressive since Young is quickly making an impact for the Rams.
