Former Tennessee Vols pass rusher Byron Young was selected in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams.

Los Angeles selected Young after the former Vol finished his two years at Tennessee with 12.5 sacks and 23.5 tackles for loss.

Young didn't put up gaudy numbers at Tennessee, but he impressed with his athleticism at the draft combine earlier this offseason (Young ran a 4.43 in the 40-yard dash).

When Young takes the field for the Rams in 2023, he'll be wearing a unique number.

At Tennessee, Young wore No. 6.

In Los Angeles, the South Carolina native will become the first Rams player to wear No. 0 (Steve Bagarus wore No. 00 for the Rams in 1947).

The Philadelphia Eagles submitted a proposal earlier this offseason to allow NFL players to wear the No. 0. The NFL, somewhat surprisingly, approved the rule change.
