The Tennessee Vols' 52-49 upset win against Alabama wasn't the only win that UT got against the Crimson Tide on Saturday.
After the massive win, Tennessee played Dixieland Delight over the loudspeaker.
And let me tell you, that's one of the best things the Volunteers have decided to do in years.
Dixieland Delight, in case you're not aware, is a song about Tennessee. But Alabama fans, for reasons I don't understand, sing the song at their games (I guess because it's by the band Alabama, but that still doesn't make sense because it was written in Tennessee about Tennessee).
On Saturday, the Vols took the song back.
Check out the moment it starts playing during Josh Heupel's post-game interview with CBS.
I wrote an article earlier this week that said Tennessee should play Dixieland Delight against Alabama and take the song back.
I don't know if Vols athletic director Danny White saw my article or not (I like to think he did, but we may never know), though it really doesn't matter. Tennessee is back to listening to the fan base and doing what makes sense. It's a fun time to be a Vols fan.
