Elijah Simmons, a defensive tackle from Nashville who signed with the Tennessee Vols during the 2019 recruiting cycle, was on the NFL draft stage on Thursday night when the Tennessee Titans made their selection.
He's on the far left in the photo below.
So why is this a big deal?
Well, as you can see, he's an imposing figure. And he caught the eye of Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt.
The Nashville native certainly does look like a beast.
It should make Tennessee fans feel pretty good that one of the NFL's best pass rushers is in love with one of their signees who hasn't even graduated high school yet.
