2024 four-star cornerback Kaleb Beasley is one of the Tennessee Vols' most important commits.
Beasley, 6-foot/179 lbs from Nashville, TN, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 13 cornerback in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Tennessee.
It's always important for Tennessee to land the top in-state players — especially when it's a position of need like cornerback.
Beasley might be committed to the Vols, but that doesn't mean it's a lock that he ends up in Knoxville.
The Tennessee commit tweeted on Wednesday that he has an official visit scheduled to Oklahoma for June 9-11.
Beasley appeared to reaffirm his commitment to Tennessee earlier this spring when he tweeted a series of Vol-related photos with the caption "home". But it looks like he's still checking out some other options before the early signing period in December (he said earlier this spring that he's hoping to receive an offer from Alabama).
I still think Beasley ends up signing with the Vols, but I also think there's some reason for concern.
You never know when it comes to recruiting — it's fluid at best. Beasley's situation is certainly one to monitor in the coming months.
