Tennessee Vols head coach Josh Heupel offered a wise response on Thursday in response to a question about Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz's comments during the post-game handshake between the two coaches after UT's loss in Columbia last weekend.

Drinkwitz said "we stand on business, Josh" to Heupel during the brief post-game handshake.

Heupel was asked about that interaction on Thursday during his final media availability before Tennessee's game against Georgia this weekend.

"Man, I really didn't hear it while we were out there at the handshake," said Heupel. "We've moved well on to the game we got this week."

That's the best possible response Heupel could've offered. There's no need to give that story any more steam if you're Heupel. And really, it's not a big deal. It was an emotional moment for Drinkwitz after beating Tennessee for the first time since he took the Missouri job ahead of the 2020 season.

For the Vols, it can serve as motivation the next time they play Missouri (2025 at the earliest). Otherwise, there's no need for Heupel to make it a bigger story ahead of an important game against Georgia.
