The latest bowl game projection for the Tennessee Vols isn't one that UT fans will love.

247Sports revealed their post Week 4 bowl game projections this week and they have Tennessee playing BYU in the Liberty Bowl in Memphis.

Tennessee is 3-0 in the Liberty Bowl with their last appearance coming in 1986.

From 247Sports: The Vols won't fall all the way to the Liberty Bowl, will they? It depends on where the SEC wants Tennessee to play, since getting back to the New Year's Six is highly unlikely. And the allure of Alabama and LSU to the Citrus and Reliaquest could push Josh Heupel's team further down the pecking order. But that's a long time from now.

It's definitely too early for this type of bowl game projection for Tennessee. And the comment about a New Year's Six bowl game being "highly unlikely" certainly isn't fair to the Vols.

Tennessee went to the Orange Bowl with two losses last season. That's not to say that the Vols will only have two losses this season. But again, it's far too early to guarantee that they won't, either.

It seems like analysts and even some fans seem to think that the Tennessee team we've seen the first four weeks of the season is the Tennessee team we'll see all season.

Tennessee should continue to improve this season as the new pieces in the Vols' offense become more comfortable with each other.
