2024 five-star offensive lineman Jordan Seaton, a Colorado commit, raised some eyebrows on Tuesday thanks to a tweet he sent that seems to indicate he's struggling with a decision.
Seaton committed to Colorado earlier this month, despite reportedly receiving a seven-figure NIL offer from Tennessee.
The tweet from Seaton seems to suggest that a late flip is possible.
And that's not a surprise. The moment that Seaton committed to Colorado reports started circulating that he might not end up signing with the Buffaloes.
But unfortunately for the Vols, it doesn't appear that Tennessee is a candidate to flip Seaton during the early signing period.
247Sports' Steve Wiltfong reported on Wednesday morning that he was told the Vols aren't "in it". And he doesn't think Oregon is in it either. This appears to be a Colorado vs Maryland battle (Seaton is from the Washington DC area).
From 247Sports: Mike Locksley and Maryland have had a long-standing relationship and are hanging around at the end. Don’t think Oregon is in it. Was told Tennessee wasn’t in it. Alabama, Florida and Ohio State were his other finalists.
Tennessee did all they could in this battle and it just didn't break their way. It's hard to be critical of the Vols' efforts here considering Alabama, Ohio State, and Florida suffered similar fates in this battle.
Update (12:15 PM ET):
It sounds like the Vols still have a chance to flip Seaton according to a recent report from On3. This wild recruitment might still have a few twists left.
