The Tennessee Vols and the Clemson Tigers have something in common that both teams wish wasn't the case.
Losses to South Carolina kept both the Vols and the Tigers out of the College Football Playoff.
The Gamecocks knocked off Tennessee and Clemson in consecutive weeks, massively impacting the look of the playoff.
South Carolina fans, despite finishing with a worse record than the Vols and the Tigers, aren't going to let either program forget that their playoff hopes were ruined by the Gamecocks.
In fact, one fan (or maybe a group of fans), trolled both programs on Friday by flying a banner near the Orange Bowl in Miami that said "Enjoy your bowl game — Gamecocks".
Clemson and Tennessee are set to face each other in the Orange Bowl on Friday night.
There's no doubt that South Carolina has bragging rights over both programs this season. But at the same time, Clemson and Tennessee are playing in a marquee bowl game while South Carolina is playing Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl. Not a bad bowl game, but it's not quite on the same level as the Orange Bowl.
