The LSU Tigers got some bad news on Friday ahead of their matchup with the Tennessee Vols in Baton Rouge on Saturday.

According to multiple reports, LSU starting left tackle Will Campbell will be out on Saturday.

Campbell posted a photo on social media of himself in the hospital.

Campbell is a true freshman who has started the first five games of the season for LSU.

The former four-star recruit was rated as the No. 36 overall player in the 2022 recruiting class (which means he was nearly a five-star player).

With Campbell out, Tigers senior Cam Wire is expected to start at left tackle.

Wire started four games for LSU at left tackle last season. He has experience so it's not like the Tigers are throwing an unsuitable replacement out there, but it's important to remember that LSU head coach Brian Kelly felt more comfortable with a true freshman starting over Wire.

This certainly feels like a disadvantage for the Tigers against Tennessee.
