The Tennessee Vols are rising quickly under Josh Heupel.

After beating Ball State in week one, the Vols went from unranked to the No. 24 team in the nation (AP Top 25).

The Vols' win against Pittsburgh on Saturday evening has Tennessee moving up in the polls again.

UT is now ranked No. 15 in the latest top 25 poll.

This is the highest that Tennessee has been ranked since they were No. 14 in 2020 after a 2-0 start (before the wheels fell off under Jeremy Pruitt).

The fact that UT jumped this far in the rankings shows that the writers voting in the AP Top 25 poll believe in Tennessee.

After watching the Vols get some hype in recent years only to see Tennessee fade, it would be understandable if writers didn't believe in UT.

But they clearly see something different with this Vols team under Heupel. And as a result, the Vols are making a rapid climb up the top 25 rankings.

If Tennessee throttles Akron next week and a couple of teams ahead of them lose, they could get close to a top 10 ranking for their massive showdown on September 24 against the Florida Gators.
