CBS Sports believes there's a "sleeper rookie" who could earn a key role for the Tennessee Titans in 2022.
Chris Trapasso, an NFL draft analyst for CBS Sports, suggested this week that cornerback Roger McCreary could be a key player for Tennessee as a rookie.
McCreary, who played college football at Auburn, was selected by the Titans in the second round (No. 35 overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Here's what Trapasso had to say about McCreary:
Purely based on talent, McCreary was a first-round-caliber prospect. Sure, he's a little small and his arms are short, but you know what — those limitations didn't stop him from making big play after big play after big play against the best competition college football has to offer over the past three seasons at Auburn. From Ja'Marr Chase to Jerry Jeudy to Jameson Williams, McCreary annoyed the hell out of the best SEC receivers from 2019 to 2021, and he enters a Titans secondary without many established, big-time contributors. Whether it's out wide or in the slot, McCreary will be around the football.

McCreary should have plenty of opportunities to shine for the Titans in 2022.
He's currently slotted in behind last year's first-round pick Caleb Farley at one of the cornerback positions.
Farley, however, has consistently battled injuries throughout his football career. So it wouldn't be a surprise if McCreary is forced into action early and often.
