The Tennessee Vols are officially set to take on the Clemson Tigers in the Orange Bowl on December 30.

Tennessee and Clemson both wear orange — albeit different shades — but only one team will get to wear orange as their primary color in the Orange Bowl.

If you're a Vols fan who is hoping to see Tennessee in orange jerseys and/or orange pants, I've got some bad news for you.

The ACC program in the Orange Bowl this season is scheduled to be the home team regardless of the final playoff rankings (UT was ranked at No. 6 in the final rankings, one spot above Clemson at No. 7).

That means Clemson will likely wear their home orange uniforms against the Vols.

This would likely mean that Tennessee will wear their all-white uniforms as they did in the Music City Bowl last season against Purdue when the Vols were technically the visiting team.

UT could theoretically wear alternate jerseys (smokey grey or dark mode), but I'd bet on the Vols donning their all-white jerseys in Miami for the Orange Bowl.

It'll likely be a couple of weeks before week know Tennessee's uniform plans for sure as it will depend on what Clemson chooses to do as the home team.
