Last week, it was confirmed that free agent wide receiver Deandre Hopkins had at least two scheduled visits. The first was with the Tennesee Titans and was set for early this week. The second was with the New England Patriots, which was supposed to follow the Titans' visit.
Last night, Hopkins posted a video of his arrival in Tennesee. He is set to meet with team personnel today.
This morning, Bill Belichick was asked about Hopkins coming to visit tomorrow. His response was:
"I don't know about that. Talked to him. We're working through it. I'm not sure."
There are a few different things that this could mean. First, it could just be a classic Belichick response. He may not want to go into detail about their level of interest with Hopkins and wanted to keep the answer short and sweet.
The second thing it could mean, is that Hopkins is visiting; it just won't happen tomorrow.
Lastly, it could insinuate that the status of the visit is up in the air. His comments sound pretty pessimistic, and considering the visit was confirmed a few days ago, the fact that there is some uncertainty around it now is something to keep an eye on.
While this is just speculation, it could mean that Hopkins has canceled or had qualms about his upcoming visit and may be ready to sign with Tennesee. We will find out more information as the week goes on, but with some newfound uncertainty around the visit, it could mean things are going well in Tennessee
