DeAndre Hopkins has been one of the best receivers in the NFL for the better part of a decade now.

Since 2015, only Travis Kelce, Mike Evans, and Julio Jones have accumulated more receiving yards than Hopkins. Nevertheless, many in the national media have been downplaying the addition of the receiver in Nashville.

On Monday, Hopkins found another source that is not a believer.

ESPN senior NFL writer Eric Karabell recently published a list of players to avoid in fantasy football this season.

Included on the list were "receivers with questionable QBs." Hopkins was of course included on this list, along with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, DJ Moore, and Deebo Samuel.

Karabell had the following to say about Hopkins' new situation:

DeAndre Hopkins has been limited by injury and suspension the past two seasons, and now gets Ryan Tannehill as his QB. Good luck.

I am under no delusion that Tannehill is an elite QB. I do think the slander is getting out of hand, however.

Tannehill is the same QB that guided the Titans to the AFC Championship Game in the 2019 season. In 2020, his first full season as the starter in Tennessee, Tannehill threw for 3,819 yards with 33 TDs and just 7 interceptions. In 2022, the Titans' offense looked anemic once Tannehill went down, and the team couldn't win a game.

Keep in mind, Hopkins was making Pro Bowl appearances with the likes of Brian Hoyer, TJ Yates, Tom Savage, and Brock Osweiler throwing to him. I'm sure he will be just fine with Tannehill at the helm.
