An NFL superstar threw some major shade at the Tennessee Titans ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons said the Titans are in "shambles" during Bleacher Report's live draft show.
Parsons, a two-time Pro Bowler, appeared on the show alongside former Titans wide receiver AJ Brown.
Parsons, a Pennsylvania native, made it clear on Thursday night that he felt like the Titans made a major mistake by trading Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles a year ago (a sentiment shared by many).
"I don't know how Tennessee trades him," said Parsons when asked about Brown. "I don't understand that. He's the best receiver on the team and you let him go because he wanted to get paid? And then he outperforms what you were trying to pay him? Like, come on Tennessee."
"That's why they're in shambles and they're getting rid of everybody right now," added Parsons. "And you send him over to the Eagles…I'm still angry to this day about that trade."
I would imagine there are plenty of Titans fans who feel the same way about the trade. But that was the old regime in Nashville. New general manager Ran Carthon is running the show now and there's nothing he can do about Jon Robinson's decision to trade Brown to the Eagles. If Carthon could, I'm sure he'd love to erase that trade from the NFL's transactions log and give Brown a massive contract.
But that's obviously not possible.
There's a path to success for the Titans that doesn't involve AJ Brown. It's Carthon's job to successfully navigate that path.
