A to Z Sports' Austin Stanley confirmed this week that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is building a home in Nashville.

That news immediately put the rumor mill into overdrive.

Rodgers may have played his last game in Green Bay. And the Tennessee Titans could use an upgrade at quarterback after Ryan Tannehill failed to deliver a win against the Cincinnati Bengals in the divisional round of the playoffs.

So….Rodgers to the Titans, right?

It makes some sense (as long as you pretend salary cap issues don't exist).

But that doesn't mean it's happening.

In fact, ESPN's Turron Davenport reported on Friday that Rodgers isn't an option for the Titans this offseason.

From ESPN:

However, a team source confirmed to ESPN that the Titans don't consider Rodgers to be an option for them at quarterback and have full intentions of moving forward with Tannehill.

Plans can always change. But for now, it appears that Tennessee is comfortable going into the 2022 season with Tannehill as their quarterback.

The Titans' Super Bowl window will be wide open again in 2022. If Tannehill doesn't deliver in 2022, then Tennessee will have blown a massive opportunity that might not come around again for a long time.
