NASHVILLE — Linebacker James Williams was drafted by the Tennessee Titans with the 242nd pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. Williams becomes the fourth defender Tennessee has added in their latest group of rookies.

He is not the kind of player fans should expect to fill the void that former star defender Kevin Byard left last season.

The physical defensive back ranked second on the team with 73 total tackles (48 solo), snagged one interception and two forced fumbles. Williams is credited with five pass breakups and one fumble recovery last year.

Tennessee was one pick remaining at No. 252 overall in this year's draft.
