Tennessee Vols baseball coach Tony Vitello made a tough decision for the program this week.

And it's a decision that many fans were hoping to see.

Vitello, at least for this week, has moved Chase Dollander out of the Fridy starter slot.

Tennessee's projected rotation for this weekend's series against Arkansas has junior Andrew Lindsey listed as Friday's starting pitcher in Fayetteville.

The Saturday and Sunday starters are still TBA.

Dollander is 4-4 through eight starts this season with a 4.18 ERA.

The ERA doesn't tell the full story as Dollander has dealt with some shaky defense at times (though he's only allowed one unearned run).

Still, the reigning 2022 SEC pitcher of the year hasn't been nearly as sharp as expected in 2023.

We'll see if this is a permanent change, though I wouldn't be surprised if it's just Vitello trying to shake things up for a big series against the No. 5 team in the nation.
