The preseason AP Top 25 dropped this week and the Tennessee Vols basketball team will be starting the 2023-24 season as a top 10 team.

Tennessee is ranked No. 9. The Vols are the highest ranked SEC team in the top 25.

Other SEC teams in the top 25 include: Arkansas (No. 14), Texas A&M (No. 15), Kentucky (No. 16), and Alabama (No. 24).

Kansas is the No. 1 preseason team in the nation, followed by Duke at No. 2 and Purdue at No. 3.

Michigan State comes in at No. 4 and Marquette rounds out the top five.

The Vols, who could be without point guard Zakai Zeigler to start the season (recovering from a torn ACL he suffered last season), will tip off the 2023-24 season on November 6 against Tennessee Tech in Knoxville. They'll hit the road to take on Wisconsin on November 10.
