The Tennessee Titans signed former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Josh Malone to a deal on Tuesday.
Malone, who is from Gallatin, TN, played at Tennessee from 2014-2016. He had a big 2016 season, catching 50 passes for 972 yards and 11 touchdowns. His 11 touchdowns in 2016 are tied for the fourth-most in a season in Vol history.
The former UT standout was selected in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. Malone spent two seasons with Cincinnati, before landing with the New York Jets for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. In 2021, Malone spent time on the Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers practice squads.
Titans backup quarterback Logan Woodside is already familiar with Malone. The two were in Cincinnati together during the 2018 preseason.
Malone has 11 career receptions for 91 yards and one touchdown. He turns 26 in March.
