The Tennessee Vols are one of the teams to beat for 2023 four-star wide receiver Noble Johnson.
Johnson revealed his top five schools on Sunday and Tennessee made the cut, along with Arkansas, Clemson, Louisville, and Ole Miss.
Johnson, 6-foot-2/205 lbs from Rockwall, TX, is ranked in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 43 wide receiver in the country and the No. 56 player in the state of Texas.
The talented wide receiver caught 49 passes for 875 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior at Rockwall High School this past season.
Johnson is another player that Tennessee is in the mix for in part due to five-star Vols commit Nico Iamaleava, who has been doing a lot of recruiting for UT since his commitment in March.
"They just got the five-star quarterback commit and I could see myself in that offense," said Johnson to Rivals.com back in April.
Tennessee currently has nine players committed to its 2023 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 9 in the nation. Only one of those commits is a wide receiver — Nate Spillman, a three-star recruit from Nashville.
