Tennessee Vols quarterback Joe Milton, a Michigan transfer who arrived in Knoxville after spring practice, is a big man.

He's so big, in fact, that Vols offensive lineman Cade Mays wasn't exactly sure what position he played when the two first met.

Mays told reporters on Tuesday that he assumed Milton, who is 6-foot-5/245 lbs, was a defensive end.

That's an easy mistake for Mays to make. Milton is an imposing figure who certainly looks more like a defensive end than a quarterback.

But that could be a really good thing for Tennessee.

Remember Cam Newton? You know, the Auburn quarterback who dominated college football in 2010?

Yeah, he's listed at 6-foot-5/245 lbs — the same size as Milton.

Now, I'm not saying Milton is fixing to be the next Cam Newton. But that's the kind of presence he has on the field.

And really, you never know — maybe Milton figures it all out under Heupel and ends up being the Vols' version of Newton.
