Tennessee Vols legend and NFL Hall of Famer Peyton Manning was one-upped this week by his nephew, Texas Longhorns true freshman quarterback Arch Manning.

Arch is the son of Cooper Manning, Peyton's older brother.

According to multiple reports, an Arch Manning trading card was sold this week for a record $103,000 (the highest amount in Panini's website history). The Arch Manning card broke the record that was previously held by a one-of-one Luka Doncic card (which sold for $100,000).

“Getting my first Panini trading card is something I couldn’t have imagined growing up,” said Arch Manning in a statement. “Working with Panini to have my first trading card benefit the larger community is special. Helping children live healthy and fulfilling lives is something that has always been important to my family.”

The most that a Peyton Manning card has sold for on Panini's website is $71,988.88.

Arch is already one of the most recognizable and marketable players in college football, despite the fact that he hasn't taken a snap in a regular season game yet.

The younger Manning is a perfect example of why players are now able to profit all of their name, image, and likeness — Arch provides value for Texas just by putting on a Longhorns uniform. And it's great to see that he's getting compensated for the notoriety that he's bringing to a Texas program that's working hard to return to college football relevancy.

As for Peyton, I'm sure he's happy for his nephew. And he probably knows that his son Marshall, who just turned 12 this spring, will likely shatter whatever NIL records Arch sets over the next few years.
