Tennessee Vols head coach Josh Heupel was in no mood to name a starting quarterback on Tuesday when he met with reporters for the first time this fall.
That doesn't mean Heupel is being coy (though I'm sure there are elements of that) — he simply doesn't know who his quarterback is going to be yet.
But Tennessee is hoping that will change. Quickly.
Vols offensive coordinator Alex Golesh told reporters on Tuesday he hopes to figure out sooner than later who Tennessee's starting quarterback will be this fall.
Golesh also pointed out the specific traits that he's looking for in a quarterback.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Vols' quarterback battle whittles down from four to two in the next week or two — it's clear that Tennessee is ready to figure out the depth chart.
